Excessive digitisation without awareness.

Nothing other than rumours lead to lynchings and mass murders, It is all well known to each one of us. Two days back when in the old city of Aligarh, a buzz left on what's app and Facebook about the demolishing of the Mosque created a riot like situation in the city. Albeit the truth was just not even 0.5% of the same. It was just a matter of replacing the old Minaret of the Mosque with a new one, enlarging the diameter of the same. Soon after the District Administration stepped in and came to the conclusion by a peaceful assimilation of the duo-community.

Similarly, the situation of Jharkhand where six people were lynched in a short span of two-three days in the name child lifting gangs, where the administration kept on ascertaining that no such gangs is active in the locality and if it persists it is the job of the Police to solve the case not the common people, But what happened is ahead all of us.

Reminiscent and indistinguishable repeated act of terror is seen deployed throughout the country. It is the same killer, the silent killer which is tarnishing the inner self of the well assimilated community of the democratic India. Excessive digitisation without awareness leads to such situations as we are coming across. We gave cheaper mobile handsets from china, free mobile internet in the form of Reliance jio to the poorest section of the society but we forgot to teach them about the ill-effects of the same. We are equally responsible for the creation of web of knowledge disseminated through WhatsApp and Facebook with plethora of anonymous writers, photographers unfortunately with no Editors to check the contents being published.

It is unfortunate for developing nation like us, where instead of youths taking active participation in the development of the society are seen easily trapped in unlawful activities inviting further trouble for them. It is  high time when the Government should take stern action in order to curb such incidents and if not for the minority section of the community, at least in the larger interest of the youths becoming victim before the law.
